Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity
Dr. Saydul Akbar Murad is an Incoming Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at Emporia State University, Kansas, USA. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi, where his research operated at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Neuroscience, and Artificial Intelligence , focusing on decoding human brain activity (EEG) into text. With an academic foundation that includes a master's degree from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, he has published extensively in high-impact journals (IF up to 10.6) regarding BCI, brain data security, and secure distributed systems. His work has earned him multiple "Best Paper" awards, the 2026 Graduate Research Award, and international recognition. Beyond research and teaching, Murad serves as an editor for the Journal of Computer Science, contributing his expertise to the advancement of the field.
